Therma Lift aftercare: what to do in the first 7 days
By Dazzle Skin & Beauty by Roz | October 12, 2026
If your Classic Facial W/Therma Lift felt like “the most relaxing facial, ” keep that vibe going by protecting your skin for the next 48 to 72 hours. That means no heavy sweating, no direct Gilbert sun, no hot showers, and no active exfoliating ingredients. Stay gentle, stay hydrated, and wear broad-spectrum SPF every morning so you hold onto that smooth, fresh feel.
Quick reminder: The Classic Facial W/Therma Lift includes all the elements of the Classic Facial, enhanced with Therma Lift technology to improve skin elasticity and stimulate collagen production.
Your first 24 to 48 hours: keep it cool, clean, and calm
Right after your Therma Lift facial, I want you thinking “calm skin” more than anything. Most people leave feeling relaxed and noticeably soft, and the easiest way to keep that result is to avoid heat and friction while your skin settles.
Do this the day of
- Cleanse gently at night if you need to. Use lukewarm water and a mild cleanser.
- Pat dry. Don’t scrub with a towel.
- Hydrate. A simple hyaluronic acid serum and moisturizer are usually plenty.
- If you feel warm or tight, use a cool compress for 5 to 10 minutes.
Skip this for 48 to 72 hours
- Workouts that make you sweat a lot.
- Hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs.
- Direct sun, especially midday. Gilbert sun is no joke, even on “quick errands.”
- Retinol, AHAs/BHAs, scrubs, and anything that tingles or “peels.”
If you’re commuting through the Southeast Gilbert corridor along S Power Road, plan your first couple of days like this: shade when you can, SPF every morning, and keep your skin routine boring. Boring is good right now.
Days 3 to 7: what not to do if you want that “so smooth and glowing” look
By day three, most people feel back to normal. That’s also when it’s easy to get a little too confident and accidentally irritate your skin. I see the best results when you stay consistent all week, especially with sun protection and hydration in our dry, sunny Gilbert climate.
Keep doing: gentle cleanse twice a day, pat dry, hydrating serum, moisturizer as needed, SPF 30+ every morning.
Keep avoiding: picking, aggressive brushing tools, strong acids, and any “let me just try this new product” experiments.
A lot of my facial clients tell me they love how soft their skin feels afterward. Protect that softness by keeping your hands off your face and letting your barrier do its job.
Makeup timing (the practical answer)
If your skin looks calm and you’re not feeling sensitive, makeup is usually fine after 24 hours. Keep it light, use clean brushes, and remove it gently at night. If you’re still red or warm, give it a little longer.
The simple post-therma lift care routine I want you on (no fancy product list)
You don’t need a complicated routine to protect your Classic Facial aftercare results. You need a gentle routine you’ll actually do, even when you’re running into SanTan Village or hopping between work and home in Gilbert.
AM (all 7 days)
- Gentle cleanser or a simple rinse if you’re not oily.
- Hydrating serum, hyaluronic acid is a good go-to.
- Moisturizer if you feel dry or tight.
- Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every single morning.
PM (all 7 days)
- Cleanse gently, lukewarm water only.
- Hydrate again, then moisturize.
- Hold off on retinol, AHAs/BHAs, and scrubs for several days. If you’re not sure, ask me before you restart.
If you’re also someone who searches “facials near me” and bounces between treatments, this is the rule: don’t stack a bunch of strong services in the same week. Give your skin a chance to settle so the Therma Lift work can show up the way it’s supposed to.
What’s normal after a Therma Lift facial, and when I want you to text me
Mild redness, a warm feeling, and a little tightness are common after Therma Lift, especially in the first day or two. Most of the time, this settles as you keep things gentle and hydrated.
Usually normal
- Mild redness that fades within 24 to 72 hours
- A tight or dry feeling that improves with moisturizer
- Light sensitivity that improves as you avoid heat and sun
Reach out right away
- Increasing pain
- Blistering
- Pus, fever, or swelling that keeps getting worse
- Redness that doesn’t improve after a few days
“Anytime I had a question or freaked out I could text Roz and she would always respond.”

That quote is about post-op care, but the same idea applies here. If something feels off, don’t sit with it. I’d rather you ask early so we can calm it down fast.
If you’re planning your next visit, I also recommend reading what to expect from your first Classic Facial W/Therma Lift and how Classic Facial W/Therma Lift helps sagging cheeks and jowls. For seasonal timing, Classic Facial W/Therma Lift summer benefits is a good read too.
A quick note for my Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, and Queen Creek clients
This aftercare is the same for my clients coming in from Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and nearby Phoenix neighborhoods. The main thing that changes here locally is sun exposure. Our UV is strong most of the year, and “just a few minutes outside” adds up fast after a facial.
If you do one thing all week: wear SPF every morning and reapply if you’ll be outside. Pair it with extra hydration and your skin usually stays comfortable and calm.
And if you’re balancing appointments with errands along S Power Road near Williams Field and Guadalupe, try to avoid midday sun right after your facial. A hat and shade do a lot.
Want to keep that glow going?
My Classic Facial W/Therma Lift is a 60 minute service ($120), and people regularly tell me their skin feels “so smooth and glowing” afterward. If you have questions about post-therma lift care, or you want to set up your next facial, reach out and I’ll help you plan timing around work and sun exposure.

If you’re also looking for lymphatic massage support, I do get a lot of searches for “lymphatic drainage massage near me, ” including post-op lymphatic drainage like post lipo lymphatic massage, tummy tuck recovery massage, mommy makeover recovery, and lymphatic drainage after BBL. Just tell me what you’re working on and I’ll point you in the right direction.
